Brave the 9th Annual Kickapoo BRAVE (Bluffs, Rivers and Valley Event) Bicycle Ride starting and ending in Gays Mills, Wisconsin.  Gays Mills is located along the Kickapoo River in Southwest Wisconsin, in the heart of the scenic Kickapoo Valley. Cyclists will enjoy roads with breathtaking scenery: ridge tops with panoramic views, rolling hills, and deep, lush valleys. One route takes you west to Ferryville Fall Fest and the wide expanse of the Mississippi River Valley, while another takes you north to the Driftless Area Art Festival.

New this year! We're holding an After Party with food, drink, and live music.  The After Party will be Saturday afternoon from 2 – 5 pm at J&J on Main, a popular Bar & Grill in downtown Gays Mills. The meal, included with your registration, will feature one trip to the taco bar (2 tacos or a taco salad), seasoned ‘tots’ and one domestic beer or soft drink. Live music from 2:30 – 4:30 will be provided by Ann Christoffer, a local acoustic guitarist/ vocalist who covers songs from the late 50s through current. “Ann grew up along the Mississippi River, in Lansing Iowa. At age 9 she received a guitar for Christmas and she’s been non-stop ever since.”

The ride features a cloverleaf route system, which allows riders to choose from beginner, intermediate, and advanced routes ranging from 15 to100 miles.  This year we've added a family-friendly route.  Children 12 and under ride for free!

All routes start and end at the Kickapoo Stump Dodger Campground located in Gays Mills, where camping will be available for participants. Check-in opens for the Brave Ride at 6:30 am, while a mass start for all routes commences at 8:00 am. All riders receive a t-shirt, gift bag, and Brave Bucks, redeemable at local sponsoring businesses.
