Mission Statement

The purpose of CDA is to create affordable housing through the careful planning of community economic development and the thoughtful use of natural and human resources. CDA is organized exclusively for charitable purposes, including the production of affordable housing, lessoning the burdens of government, and combating community deterioration.

Scope

To accomplish its purpose, the scope of services provided by the CDA to the communities of Crawford County and Southwest Wisconsin shall be to:

	· Generate new housing opportunities through construction, site development, and conversion initiatives.
	· Preserve the viability of current housing through financial assistance to maintain and upgrade existing living units.
	· Assist communities with the marketing of existing economic development assets.
	· Provide support to communities for economic development planning; including land acquisition, infrastructure improvements, and smart-growth strategies.
